Wheat winter rubber boot snowdrops

The boot comes with an all-over floral print, rib details and a knitted edge. An extra latex insole with recycled polyester is included to ensure a good fit when the lining is removed.

Size guide and internal measurements

At MilkyWalk, we measure all shoes and boots ourselves each season using an internal measuring device. Our measurements show the actual internal space of the boot – not the length of the insole. The insole may sometimes be slightly shorter or longer than the internal space. Since we measure all models ourselves, our measurements may differ from the manufacturer’s information.

Please note that with the lining inside, the boots run small in size. The lining stretches with use, but we recommend buying with only a small growth allowance compared to the lining measurements – around 0.5 cm extra. The measurements in the chart are MilkyWalk’s own measurements and may differ from Wheat’s information:

The boots have a medium fit. With the lining they run small, while without the lining the measurements make them normal to slightly large in size.

MilkyWalk’s review of the Wheat Wader boot with wool lining

Wader is an exciting new style from Wheat with a removable wool lining. We think it’s a clever solution, as the boot can be used both as a warm winter rubber boot with lining and as a regular rubber boot without it.

When we measure the boot with the lining inside, the measurements are significantly smaller compared to without the lining. This is because the lining takes up space, but it stretches with use. Therefore, we recommend not choosing too much growth allowance based on the lining measurements. For example, if your child’s foot measures 16.5 cm, we would recommend size 28. This size leaves about 5 mm extra with the lining, but a full 1.9 cm without – enough room for the lining to adjust. Choosing a size with too much growth allowance based on the lining could result in the boot being far too big without it.

Is it a thermo boot or a winter rubber boot? Strictly speaking, it is a rubber boot with a removable wool/polyester lining. There is no actual thermo-function, so even though it’s often referred to as a thermo boot, the most correct description is a lined rubber boot or winter rubber boot.
