Bundgaard Bloom winter boot blue with TEX

Bundgaard Bloom is the winter edition of the well-known beginner shoe Petit and comes here in a combination of navy-colored leather and suede. The model is created with a focus on small children’s feet, where natural movement and high comfort are key. The wide front provides plenty of room for the toes, while a firm heel counter ensures stability. Inside, the shoe is lined with soft wool to keep feet warm in the cold, and a water-resistant TEX membrane offers protection against moisture.

Bloom is part of Bundgaard’s barefoot shoe collection. A barefoot shoe is designed to give children a natural sensation similar to walking barefoot. The shoe has a relatively thin, flexible sole without elevation and plenty of room for the toes, allowing the foot to move freely and develop naturally.

Size guide and internal measurements

At MilkyWalk, we measure all shoes and models each season with an internal measuring device. Our measurements show the actual space inside the shoe – not the length of the insole. The insole may be slightly shorter or longer than the inner space. Since we measure all shoes ourselves, our measurements may differ from the manufacturer’s information.

Bundgaard is among the most experienced when it comes to shoes for young children, and we are always happy to recommend their models – especially for the early years. Bloom is a great addition to Bundgaard’s collection of beginner shoes. It can be used both for little ones taking their very first steps and for children who are already walking securely. Choose Bloom if you want a classic yet updated leather boot with plenty of space for the toes. The model feels most like a lined shoe and is therefore not a heavy-duty winter boot. If you need a more practical boot that can handle deep snow and lots of water, we recommend a taller model, as Bloom does not prevent water from entering from above. All in all, a really good winter beginner shoe that we especially recommend from around 1 year up to about 2–3 years of age.

The model is quite wide, and we hesitate between placing it in the second widest or the widest category.
