Size guide and internal measurements

At MilkyWalk, we measure all children’s shoes each season with an internal measuring device. Our measurements show the actual inside space of the boot – not the insole. The insole can be slightly shorter or longer than our measurements.
Since we measure all shoes ourselves, our results may differ from the manufacturer’s information.

The boots tend to run a little large. We recommend about 1–1.3 cm growth allowance for this type of boot.

Care instructions

Heat can dry out the rubber, so avoid drying cabinets and direct sunlight. Remove dirt regularly with a damp cloth and treat the rubber with a care product about every 14 days to extend the durability of the boots.

Is it a rubber boot or a thermo boot?

It is a rubber boot with wool lining – the correct term is therefore a winter rubber boot.

Winter rubber boots like these from Angulus are almost indispensable for many children. Especially in preschool age, they are used a lot because children spend so much time outdoors in all kinds of winter weather. Regular rubber boots – even with a TEX membrane – can struggle if used for many rainy days in a row, as they need time to dry. Here it is an advantage to have a pair of winter rubber boots as a supplement for the wettest days. If you want an even warmer and waterproof boot than a lined rubber boot, you can instead look for a thermo boot.

However, it is important to stress that winter rubber boots should never be the child’s primary winter boots. It would be like only having rubber boots as the only pair of shoes in summer.

Rubber boots do not breathe optimally and need time to dry completely if they become damp or wet. It is completely normal that they may feel moist inside without being leaking – simply because feet give off a lot of moisture. That is why we always recommend having at least two pairs of shoes to alternate between during the season.

Think of the winter rubber boot as a practical solution for cold and wet days – a supplement to regular winter boots, but never a replacement.
