Bundgaard winter rubber boots – also called thermo rubber boots – are a great addition to the wardrobe, especially in kindergarten age and almost indispensable in forest kindergartens. However, we do not recommend using them as the child’s primary winter boots, as breathability in rubber is limited. Just as a standard rubber boot should not be the only shoe in summer, a winter rubber boot should not stand alone in winter. Feet become too enclosed if worn for many hours daily.

In winter, it is always a good idea to have at least two pairs of shoes to alternate between, ensuring a dry pair is always available if one gets wet. In this case, winter rubber boots like these work very well as one of the pairs. Remember that when used in milder weather, condensation can occur inside due to the limited breathability of rubber. It is important to let the boots dry completely before wearing them again.
