This model is made from Birko-Flor – a synthetic material developed by Birkenstock. It has a soft fleece lining and a smooth, leather-like surface that is easy to clean.

The advantage of Birkenstock sandals in Birko-Flor is that they are durable, easy to care for, and comfortable against the skin – a great alternative to leather.

Materials and features:

The insole is covered in microfiber, and the midsole is made of molded cork. The outsole is lightweight and shock-absorbing EVA rubber.

Fit and width:

Birkenstock offers two widths in their sandals – called regular and narrow.

According to Birkenstock’s own width classification, this model is narrow. Most children’s Birkenstock sandals are made in this narrow version. At MilkyWalk, the narrow fit corresponds to medium width in our fit chart. The wider variant, which Birkenstock calls regular, corresponds to wide in our system.

Size guide:

We recommend only a 0.5 cm growth allowance for this type of sandal. Too much extra room means the sandal won't fit properly. For example, if the foot measures 20 cm, the internal length of the sandal should be approx. 20.5 cm. See our size chart and internal measurements above.
